Big Bear Rentals Are A Great Vacation Idea

If you are looking for a wonderful place to take a vacation, then Big Bear Rentals may be the ticket. Located only a couple of hours from Los Angeles or about three from San Diego, Big Bear Lake is a fun, year-round getaway with lots to do. No matter what the season, you can have your pick of a large variety of activities. Since its now winter, lets look at a few things available for you.

When you come to Big Bear Lake, you have the choice of a wide variety of accommodations. You can rent a cabin from one of the many companies around the lake. You can rent a vacation home for a bigger choice, or you can rent a luxury home, if your budget will allow. You just need to shop around and decide what it is you want.

Once you have arrived, you can choose from a variety of recreation options. There are two ski resorts located nearby, Bear Mountain and Snow Summit. There are hundreds of acres where you can ski, snowboard, or sled. There are even lessons available for skiing or snowboarding. The snow can start to fall as early as November, and the slopes open as soon as there is enough snow. There are also snow makers which generate 3 to 5 feet of man made snow; the equivalent of 10 feet of natural snow.

After you have enjoyed the snow, you can go into the village and shop, eat, or just walk around and explore the area. With a large variety of shops, one offering Thomas Kinkade artwork, you can find plenty of gifts for friends, family, or yourself. You also will find a great selection of places to eat.

While planning for your winter getaway, you might also think about the fun activities available during the summer months, like hiking, boating, parasailing, horseback riding, mountain biking, and even golf.
